「旧森永家. 佐賀市歴史民俗館」/ 佐賀県

佐賀市の旧市街・柳町に残された古い建物７棟で構成される「佐賀歴史民俗館」の一つ。ここでは江戸時代の煙草製造店の建物の中庭を見ることができる。表の建物から裏の別棟をつなぐ渡り廊下の横に残された中庭。本来あった反対側の土塀は失われた。現在この建物は佐賀市の特産 手織り絨毯「鍋島Dantsu」の工房になっている。

"Former Morinaga Family. Saga City History and Folklore Museum" / Saga Prefecture

This is one of the "Saga History and Folklore Museum" which consists of seven old buildings remaining in Yanagimachi, the old town of Saga City. Here you can see the courtyard of a tobacco manufacturing shop from the Edo period. The courtyard remains next to the corridor connecting the front building to the rear annex. The original earthen wall on the opposite side has been lost. This building is currently used as a workshop for "Nabeshima Dantsu", a hand-woven carpet that is a specialty of Saga City.
