「漢陽寺」山口県周南市  ”Kanyo-ji tempe” Shunan-city Ymaguti-pref.

重森三玲が1969年から８年の年月をかけて漢陽寺の境内全体を庭園として整備。

平安時代から現代までの各様式の庭園を境内各所に作庭しました。

●平安時代・曲水の庭（本堂南）

●鎌倉時代・蓬莱山庭（本堂と書院を結ぶ渡り廊下の北）

●平安時代・地蔵遊化庭（書院北・坪庭）

●鎌倉時代・九山八海庭（書院東）

●現代・瀟湘八景／しょうそうはっけい（書院南）

＊瀟湘八景庭は非公開ですが状況によっては塀の入口付近から見せてもらえる場合があります。

＊書院は重森三玲自身による設計（内部非公開）。外露地の鐘楼も重森三玲による設計。

●書院塀の外〜茶室露地は重森の死後、その弟子であった斎藤忠一により作庭されました。

外露地は紅葉で尾形光琳「紅梅白梅」をイメージして作られています。

内露地には北山杉が植えられています。

この他に本堂西側に重森三玲による鑓水庭園がありましたが本堂拡張工事の際に消失しています。

その他三門西側の池泉は漢陽寺が創建される前からあったと伝わる池をイメージしています。

Mirei Shigemori maintained the entire precincts of Kanyoji Temple as a garden from 1969 to 8 years.

He created gardens of various styles from the Heian period to the present day throughout the precincts.

● Heian period, Kakusui no Niwa (main hall south)

● Kamakura period, Horai mountain garden (north of the crossing corridor connecting the main hall and the Shoin)

● Heian period, Jizo Yuka garden (Shoin north, Tsubo-niwa)

● Kamakura period ・ Kusenhakkai no Niwa (Shoin East)

● Hyundai Shoso Hakkei (Shoin South)

* Shohakkei is not open to the public, but depending on the situation, you may be able to see it from near the entrance of the wall.

* The Shoin was designed by Mirei Shigemori himself (not open to the public). The bell tower of Soto Roji is also designed by Mirei Shigemori.

● Outside the Shoin fence-The open-air tea room was created by his disciple, Chuichi Saito, after Shigemori's death. Basically private.

The outer open area is made of autumn leaves with the image of Korin Ogata "Red Plum White Plum".

Kitayama cedar is planted in Uchi Roji.

In addition to this, there was a Yarimizu garden by Mirei Shigemori on the west side of the main hall, but it disappeared during the main hall expansion work.

In addition, the pond on the west side of the gate is an image of a pond that is said to have existed before Kanyoji was built.
