"Tatsuda Natural Park, Taisho-ji Temple Ruins" Kumamoto Pref
The Hosokawa clan, who ruled the Higo clan after Kiyomasa Kato, rented the "Taishoji Temple" (abandoned temple due to the abolition of Buddha in the Meiji era) from the Hosokawa clan, where the mausoleums of the first to third generations were located. It is open for a fee. On the premises, the Hosokawa family's villa (cannot be visited) and the tea room "Koushoken" restored in the Taisho era based on the design drawings of Hosokawa Sansai are left, and Hosokawa Sansai is in Kyoto for the water bowl. It was a favorite of the Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Sen no Rikyu. In addition, Mrs. Hosokawa Gracia's favorite tsukubai is placed in the graveyard. The park, which is located in a quiet environment near the Kumamoto University campus, has a pond, bamboo grove, and moss garden, and the number of visitors is small and quiet.
