「スターバックスコーヒー太宰府表参道店」福岡県・”Starbucks coffee Dazaifu Omotesando store” Fukuoka Pref.

前回紹介した小野筑紫堂の右斜め向かいにスターバックスコーヒー太宰府表参道店があります。スタバはもちろん梅ケ枝餅店ではありません。しかし太宰府表参道店には客席の一番奥に坪庭が設けられているので特別にご紹介します。最初それ単なる緑のスロープにしか見えません、しかし斜面上部に梅が三本植えらた立派な中庭です。まだ梅は若木ですがやがて成長して立派に花を咲かせるようになるでしょう。これは大変ミニマムな現代の坪庭です。あえて庭の敷地を斜面にしているのは前回ご紹介した小野筑紫堂の中庭と同じコンセプトですよね。このスタバ太宰府表参道店は隈研吾によるデザインで店内は2000本の杉の角材を組み合わせたとても複雑な構造です、それらと対比するように細長く薄暗い店内の一番奥に、シンプルな緑の坪庭が明るく浮かび上がって見える景色は大変ドラマチックでどこか救いを感じさせる現代的な演出だと感じました。2018 東京中目黒にオープン予定の日本初のスターバックス リザーブ ロースタリーも隈研吾のデザインです。隈研吾がでがけた２つのスタバを比較するだけでも楽しいかも。太宰府に来られたら是非立ち寄ってみて下さい。

(3) Starbucks coffee Dazaifu Omotesando store/ Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Pref

On both sides of An approach to Dazaifutenmangu shrine are plenty of sweet grilled rice cake "UmegaeMochi" shops. Five of them have enclosed garden behind them. There is a tea shop in the back of each shop.

On the other side of the Onochikusi-do I introduced last time there is a Starbucks coffee Dazaifu Omotesando store. Of course the Starbucks coffee is not an Umegae rice cake shop. Because, as for my introducing it, Omotesando store has a small garden in the depths. May we call it a garden? We hesitate a little. Because it is seen only on the green slope. However, three plums are planted in the upper slope. It must do a tribute Dazaifutenman-gu. This green slope is the modern enclosed garden which is a minimum. Japanese architect, Kengo Kuma designed Starbucks coffee Dazaifu Omotesando store. It is a unique building in pursuit of the beauty of the wood characterizing his design.
