「大分市平和市民公園 和風庭園」大分県大分市

大分市「平和市民公園」内の能楽堂にあわせて整備された和風庭園。滝から流れ出した遣水が芝生の広場を曲水のように流れめぐり橋の下を抜けて最後に現代和モダン建築の能楽堂が影を映す池となる構成。特に遣水のせせらぎのなかに置かれた多くの石が美しい。能楽堂の正面や裏庭に松が何本も植えられている。

和風庭園の他に風車のある西洋庭園や武漢の森と名付けられた中国庭園、また遊具を設置した児童庭園や多目的広場などもある。大分市民の文化教養、休養散策、スポーツ等の多様なニーズに対応する施設として裏川沿いの南北1400m、東西170mの細長く広大な敷地に昭和54年から12年をかけて整備された総合公園。なお、裏川沿いには1kmにわたって800本以上の桜が植えられていて、お花見の頃は多くの花見客で賑わう。

“Oita City Heiwa Citizen Park Japanese Style Garden'' Oita City, Oita Prefecture

A Japanese-style garden built in conjunction with the Noh theater in Oita City's Heiwa Citizen Park. The water flowing from the waterfall turns into a stream, flows around the lawn square, passes under several bridges, and finally becomes a pond where the shadow of the modern Japanese Noh theater is reflected. Especially the many stones placed in the stream of water are beautiful. Many pine trees are planted in front of the Noh theater and in the backyard.

In addition to the Japanese-style garden, there is also a Western-style garden with a windmill, a Chinese garden named Wuhan Forest, a children's garden with playground equipment, and a multi-purpose plaza. A multi-purpose park developed from 1979 to 1979 on a long and spacious site of 1400m north-south and 170m east-west along the Urakawa River as a facility that meets the diverse needs of Oita citizens for cultural education, leisure walks, and sports. In addition, over 800 cherry trees are planted along the back river for 1 km, and during the cherry blossom viewing season, many people come to see the cherry blossoms.
