「大隈重信記念館」 佐賀県佐賀市

大隈重信記念館の建物は早稲田大学名誉教授でアントニオ・ガウディを日本に紹介した建築家・今井兼次による設計。佐賀県の木・楠の根幹と大久保重信のからだを曲面を多用して表現。ステンドグラスにより室内を飾り精神を表現。大隈重信生誕１２５周年を記念して昭和４１年に建設された。（今井兼次の代表作として同じ九州内長崎市に聖フィリッポ教会がある。）記念館内部には大隈重信の歴史資料を展示するほか敷地内には生家も保存されている。一階テラス前に松が立ち並ぶ庭園がある。

"Okuma Shigenobu Memorial Museum" Saga City, Saga Prefecture

Designed by Imai Kenji, professor emeritus at Waseda University and architect who introduced Antonio Gaudi to Japan. The roots of the camphor tree, a tree of Saga Prefecture, and the body of Okubo Shigenobu are expressed through the extensive use of curved surfaces. The interior is decorated with stained glass to express his spirit. It was built in 1966 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Okuma Shigenobu's birth. In addition to exhibiting historical materials about Okuma Shigenobu, there is a garden with pines lined up in front of the terrace. Another representative work of Imai Kenji is St. Philip's Church in Nagasaki City, also in Kyushu.
