「旧丸毛家屋敷」大分県臼杵市

臼杵藩中級武士の武家屋敷。近年まで実際に住居として使われていたが元の姿をほぼ完璧に留めている。江戸後期の臼杵藩中級武士の暮らしを今に伝える貴重な建築。解体修復工事が行われた以後は臼杵市の体験学習施設として公開されている。普段は無人だが自由に上がって見学出来る。屋敷の周囲は庭園として整備されている。

“Former Maruo Family Residence” / Oita Prefecture.

A valuable construction that conveys the lives of Usuki middle class samurai in the late Edo period. It has been released to the public after dismantling and repair work has been carried out. Visitors can take their shoes off at the entrance and enter the residence freely. The area around the residence is in the form of a garden.
