「芦屋釜の里」 福岡県遠賀郡芦屋町

室町時代、茶の湯釜として全国に名を馳せた芦屋釜。芦屋釜の里は、江戸時代初期頃に途絶えた芦屋釜の復興に取り組む施設として平成7年オープン。園内の工房では鋳物師達がその復興に取り組んでいる。長屋門をくぐり抜けると、季節の花と緑あふれる3000坪の日本庭園の美しい眺めが広がる。その中に芦屋釜復興工房、室町期の芦屋釜などを展示した資料館、京都桂離宮の御幸門や卍亭の写しなど大小の茶室、いつでも抹茶を楽しむことができる立礼席などが点在している。

During the Muromachi period, Ashiya Gama was famous throughout Japan as a tea kettle. Ashiya Gama no Sato opened in 1995 as a facility dedicated to reviving Ashiya Gama, which was discontinued around the beginning of the Edo period. In the workshops within the garden, metalworkers are working on the revival. Passing through the Nagayamon gate, you will be greeted by a beautiful view of the 10,000m2 Japanese garden, filled with seasonal flowers and greenery. There are a workshop to reconstruct the Ashiya Gama, a museum exhibiting Ashiya Gama from the Muromachi period, a standing seat where you can enjoy matcha at any time, and tea rooms of various sizes.
