「志自岐家住宅」長崎県平戸市

「志自岐家住宅」（しじきけじゅうたく）」は、その庭園が毎年春に開催されていた「平戸お庭めぐり」で一般公開されていました。（2023年を最後に中止状態）。大変素晴らしいイベントでしたのでその再開を願って「平戸お庭めぐり」で公開されていた庭園のいくつかを資料として投稿します。

「志自岐家住宅」主屋・冠木門（陽明門）は江戸時代後期、1839年（天保10年）の貴重な建築。「平戸お庭めぐり」では外観のみが公開されていました。その庭園は「啼鳥園」には、ヒラドツツジの原木「夕陽」「紅千鳥」、そして戦国時代に南蛮貿易で平戸に伝来したバラ「オールドローズ」（ミステリーローズ）の古木など、当時からの花木が多く残されています。

“Shijiki Family Residence” Hirado City, Nagasaki Prefecture

The gardens of the Shijiki Family Residence were open to the public every spring during the Hirado Garden Tour (currently canceled after 2023). It was a wonderful event, so we hope to see it resumed and will post some of the gardens that were open to the public during the Hirado Garden Tour as a reference.

The main house and Kanbukimon Gate (Yomeimon Gate) of the Shijiki Family Residence are valuable buildings from the late Edo period, dating back to 1839 (Tenpo 10). Only the exterior was open to the public during the Hirado Garden Tour. The garden, Nakitorien, still has many flowering trees from that time, including the original Hirado Azalea trees Yuhi and Beni Chidori, and the old roses Old Rose (Mystery Rose) that were brought to Hirado during the Sengoku period through trade with the South Barbarians.
