"Gyouran park" Oita pref.
"Gyouran Falls" has been visited by many intellectuals as a scenic resort for a long time. In the early Showa period, Santouka, a genius poet of free-rate haiku, also loved this place and stayed there. The magnificent waterfall, which is only 50m from the sea but has a height of 14m and splashes, is like a deep mountain. The clear water that flows out of the waterfall becomes a river, and in the summer you can go down to the waterside and play in the river. In the Kamakura period, "Taki Mihashira Shrine" was built just below the cliff with the river as a barrier. Since then, the shrine has been constantly worshiped by people, and even now it has become a park, and no locals forget that it was originally the sacred precincts of this shrine. The old torii gates, stone lanterns and water basin of the shrine tell us that people have been protecting this shrine for a long time. An eight-tenth scale copy of Ryoanji Sekitei in Kyoto is made at the entrance of Gyouran Park. Iyo's green stones, which are similar in shape to the stones of Ryoanji Temple, are selected and placed, surrounded by a Tsukiji fence, and a seemingly simple Ajiro ceiling is built in front of the garden. We avoid the rain so that we can enjoy the garden freely at any time. Sekitei borrows the cliffs of the shrine, and even if it's a copy, it boasts a wonderful view of this garden only (it would be great if it was in good condition ...) I was deeply moved by the divine scenery of the Takimi hashira shrine with my back. I would like to revisit Gyouran Park in the summer. This is a really great place.
